Year 5/6 attended the inaugural EYE Eco-Summit for Crawley and Horsham.  Being held at Ifield Community College the day provided the children the chance to get involved in a number of workshops led by local groups, charities and companies all with a focus on the environment and our impact on it.  The children got the chance to think about how to re-use plastics, take part in junk percussion sessions, weave willow bird feeders, study the micro-habitation of compost heaps, looked at the microfibres created by our clothing, studied the organisms in our waterways as well as other workshops.  The children came back to school with a lot to think and a number of messages to take home.
