We were delighted to welcome Paul Sturgess to school last week. Paul is not only Britain’s tallest man but also played professional basketball in the USA for a number of years (including for the Harlem Globetrotters). Paul started the morning with a lively and motivational assembly telling us all about his time as a basketball player. He also gave out the positive message that being different can be good and to embrace it as well as reminding of the benefits of a healthy diet and lifestyle. He then led sessions with each class teaching them a range of baseketball skills and drills. The children were really engaged and took away so many positive messages.
